Kona B-52 - Road Bike Concept

Presenting one-of-a-kind road bike concept designed for one of my favorite bicycle company, Kona.

Founded in 1988, Kona Bicycle Company design and manufacture complete range of road, commuter, cyclo-cross in addition to a complete range of mountain bikes. Using a range of materials including carbon fiber, titanium, aluminum and steel, Kona's bikes are sold in over 60 countries worldwide.

I love mountain bikes and this Canadian bicycle company is well known for their mountain bikes. It’s obvious their road bikes are not very common in the racing scene compared to other brands and this inspired me to conceptualize the B-52 for Kona.

This radical concept is meant for one purpose only - Ride Faster. The design is also inspired by MotoGP motorcycle and it features Clip-on style handlebars in wider format instead of traditional road bike handlebars. This will be a new riding position, but is aimed for riding style change + better riding dynamics.

The tail section also supports the aerodynamics and make the rider glide faster on time-trail sections or bomb any road race.

The B-52 is a full carbon-fiber frame that should be possible to manufacture with the assistance of R-n-D team with their technical expertise.

What do you think about the Kona B-52 Road Bike concept? Would you like to see it in the real world?
